Celebrate! — Derek Macario

Celebrate! is a collection of 35mm film photographs, including candids and portraits, taken during festive events marking a spectrum of occasions. The following images were made at birthdays, NYEs, nationally and regionally recognized holidays, etc.

In the state of celebrations we let our guards down. On the brink of euphoria, we come together, with friends and strangers, to make a toast to one another. This happens because with each other we have security and trust.

We comfort each other in the midst of our lives.
